Stopping smoking is one of the best things you can do for the health of you and your baby. The earlier you quit, the better the benefits are for you and your baby.
We support women who live, work or are registered with an Oxfordshire GP who are either pregnant or planning a pregnancy to stop smoking.
You will have the full support of the maternity services and at your first antenatal appointment your midwife will complete the first carbon monoxide (CO) screening as part of routine antenatal care. They will refer you and your family to our service.
If your partner or anyone else who lives with you smokes, their smoke can affect you and your baby both before and after birth. You may also find it more difficult to stop if someone around you smokes. We can support you and your partner together for free.
